More than 51% of millennials accessed health and wellness content on smartphones in 2015. Consumers are comfortable using smartphones to research health conditions and healthcare services, with more than 50% of adults under 50 indicating they are comfortable self-diagnosing using apps (Adius Digital Health Survey 2016).

Consumers are already using smartphones for health activities and want to do so more in the future. Mobile marketing is becoming critical for healthcare marketers to keep up with consumer expectations.
